This week, The Talk Guys interview author and educator Tim Moon. Tim Moon has written his first book, Tomato Fields, which is based on an actual Bigfoot creature sighting that Tim’s brother experienced but never told anyone about for 20 years. Tim shares his brother's story with The Talk Guys, and then they go into more stories about Bigfoot sightings in Iowa and other paranormal stories, including talks about ancient aliens and UFOs. Tim even shares stories about Davy Crockett, Daniel Boone, and Theodore Roosevelt’s Bigfoot encounters. We don’t know what Bigfoot is, but what we do know is that the truth is out there and nothing is absolute. This conversation is a great one, and we think it’s a perfect start for the month of October!

#72 Freedom of Speech is a Weapon, Zelensky & Biden back at the UN, NATO, Iran Prisoners & Fetterman’s on Strike

On this week's show, The Talk Guys review a speech given to the UN by former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern about how freedom of speech is a weapon of war. The Biden Administration's favorite actor, Volodymyr Zelensky, is back at the UN, and the things he had to say seem rather odd considering his country’s position at the moment. Zelensky claims that first-world pollution causes natural disasters in third-world countries. The Talk Guys also have a discussion about the relationship between the UN and NATO. Former Vice President Joe Biden also made a speech at the UN, exposing the hypocrisy of his own administration. The Biden administration made a deal to release some prisoners from Iran, which didn’t seem very beneficial for US taxpayers. Senator Fetterman is out with the common folk helping with a strike in Michigan, and his words of wisdom are very striking.

In this episode, The Talk Guys discuss the recent visit by Governor Ron Desantis to the great Iowa State Fair for a "fireside chat" with Governor Kim Reynolds. Former President Donald Trump visited as well, but not for a friendly chat with the governors. The politicians also visited the coveted annual Cy-Hawk college football game between in-state rivals University of Iowa and Iowa State University. While discussing the subject of governors, The Talk Guys bring up New Mexico Chief Psycho Governor Michelle Grisham and how she used an emergency declaration to "fight gun crime" by criminalizing the law-abiding citizens of Albuquerque, New Mexico and violating their constitutional rights. The Talk Guys bring an update about the developing situation in the West African nation of Niger and the possibility of another stupid reaction from the West in concordance with the long list of other stupid endeavors involving no-win wars, assassinated leaders, toppled governments, and good ol’ times.

#70 Maui Fires, Water Wars, Land Grabs & Government First Response: An Insolvent Equation

On this show, Teepee and Theo discuss the Lahaina, Maui wildfires of August 8, 2023. Among one of the deadliest fires in U.S. history and certainly in the history of Hawaii. Why was water not released in time to be used by firefighters? Why were emergency and tsunami alarms not sounded by the Hawaiian Emergency Management Agency? The incompetence of the Maui officials response to the emergency is mind-boggling, and the responses they have given for their negligence are even more mind-boggling. Reports have come out that roads were blocked, causing more Hawaiians to perish in the flames. One Maui resident, a lawyer, bugged out of her house with "Water Permit Applications" along with clothing as she was fleeing, knowing the paperwork would be incredibly important because Maui has a history of water being directed by officials to please the tourist industries, instead of being used for the people. Some Maui residents wonder if the emergency is being exploited by the wealthy and well-connected to grab water and land. Would it be so hard to imagine a case of disaster capitalism? The Talk Guys also discuss the Maui police chief, who is no stranger to tragedy. Sleepy Joe showed up after his vacation was over, and his speech to the people of Maui is very moving and from the heart. Our thoughts and prayers are with the affected people in Hawaii.

We go over recruiting numbers and discuss how much money and military equipment have been sent to Ukraine, the size of our Navel fleet, the cost of renaming military bases across the US, and the concern of the military’s carbon footprint.
